Get Hard tells the story of James King, a wealthy and self-absorbed hedge fund manager who is sentenced to prison for fraud. Desperate to survive the harsh realities of life behind bars, James turns to Darnell Lewis, a street-smart car washer with no criminal record, to teach him how to toughen up and prepare for his time in San Quentin. Despite their vastly different backgrounds and perspectives, the two men form an unlikely bond as they work together to get James ready for his stint in prison. As they navigate their way through a series of hilarious and often uncomfortable training sessions, both James and Darnell are forced to confront their own biases and misconceptions about each other. Will they be able to overcome their differences and help each other survive the challenges that lie ahead?
