On June 20, 2009, Neda Agha-Soltan, a young philosophy student, was shot and killed during a protest in Tehran against the rigged presidential election in Iran. Her final moments were captured on cell phones and quickly spread across the world, drawing attention to the mass protests and the struggle for freedom and democracy in Iran. Featuring previously unseen footage of Neda with her friends and family, as well as exclusive video of her recorded the day she died, "For Neda" tells the story of a young woman who became a symbol of resistance against oppression and a voice for the people of Iran.
