Bandidas

Bandidas (2006) is an action-comedy movie set in 19th century Mexico. The movie follows the story of two women, Sara Sandoval (Salma Hayek) and María Álvarez (Penélope Cruz), who come from different backgrounds but are united by their desire for justice and revenge against a ruthless robber baron, Tyler Jackson (Dwight Yoakam), who murdered their families to acquire their land for the expansion of the American railroad. With the help of Quentin Cooke (Steve Zahn), a naive New York City police inspector, they embark on a bank heist spree across Mexico, robbing only Bank and Trust branches while evading Tyler's henchmen. As they become notorious outlaws known as "Las Bandidas," they fight for justice, love, and redemption in a male-dominated society.
